Journalist of the Czech TV channel CT24 Andreas Papadopoulos reported the details of the incident on his page on the social network. According to him, the Russian chess player extended his hand to his opponent, but the Pole rejected the handshake.

The Pole could have been disqualified for violating the rules, but the Russian did not file a complaint.

The game between them ended in a draw. Duda himself took 10th place in the competition, and the Russian was not on the list of winners at the end of the competition.
