Helped a colleague deceive the medical board for money

An employee of the medical unit of the Moscow Region police and a retired law enforcement officer, the hero of one of the high-profile criminal stories, together ended up in the dock for deceiving a colleague. The officer aimed for a prestigious position, but health problems were a serious obstacle, and in order to hide them, the law enforcement officer agreed to fork out a large amount.

As it became known to MK, a candidate for the position of head of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Shchelkovo near Moscow became a victim of a scam in March 2020. He had to undergo a medical examination, and the detective knew that he would most likely “fail” due to problems with the thyroid gland. The detective began to look for an opportunity to outwit the doctors. Through acquaintances, he came across a retired policeman, a veteran of private security, who had served for more than 20 years. Ravil Fayzullin (name and surname changed – author’s note) became famous in May 2009 for neutralizing two robbers who had taken hostages in the Dixy store on Batyuninsko Street. The pensioner agreed to help and turned to his friend, the head nurse of the medical unit of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region. The woman responded to the request, but made it clear that for concealing the diagnosis, up to 100 thousand rubles would have to be transferred to her card. The collected money will go not only to her, but also to members of the military medical commission.

The candidate eventually agreed. The veteran police officer acted as an intermediary. Interestingly, he passed the commission, although the nurse could hardly contribute to this. The scam was revealed only a year later during the implementation of operational information. Investigators found that the accounts of the nurse and her friend repeatedly received various amounts, but they could not prove other cases of bribery. And for the scam with the detective, both received suspended sentences by the verdict of the Kuntsevsky court: a woman – 1 year, a man – 3, with a probationary period of two years.
