Polar athletes won more than 30 gold medals in wushu competitions

On February 17 and 18, the Murmansk Athletics Arena hosted the championship and championship of the North-Western Federal District in Wushu. About 180 athletes from the Kola Arctic region, the Leningrad region, the Republic of Karelia and St. Petersburg fought for victory.

Our region was represented by 12 teams: from the regional center, Polyarny, Kovdor, Kola, Severomorsk, Zapolyarny, Monchegorsk, Gadzhievo and Revda. 37 northerners won gold medals in their weight category.

In the team competition, our fellow countrymen took the entire podium. In first place is the team “Ushugad” from Gadzhievo (20 medals), second – “Ushu-Revda” from Revda (14 awards), third – “Suvon” from Monchegorsk (13 medals).

Earlier it became known that 19 more SOPKI.SPORT spaces will be opened in the region this year. “MK in Murmansk” wrote that more than 100 million rubles have been allocated for this.
