Polar athletes will take part in the Russian wrestling championship

Athletes from the Kola Arctic will represent the region at the Russian wrestling championship. The Northwestern Federal District championship in the Greco-Roman wrestling discipline has ended in Kaliningrad, the Ministry of Sports of the Murmansk Region reported.
Participants are boys under 18 years old. According to the results of the fights, three athletes became the best each in their weight category: one from the Olympic reserve school in Murmansk and two from the Olenegorsk Municipal Autonomous University before the Olimp School.
The Northwestern Federal District championship in wrestling became a qualifying stage for participation in the national championship. It will take place in February 2024. The athletes were congratulated and wished success.
The day before, the polar athlete brought two medals from speed skating competitions. “MK in Murmansk” wrotethat over 100 of the strongest athletes took part in them.
