Polar athletes set three Russian records at the winter swimming championship

The championship and championship of the Russian Winter Swimming Federation has come to an end in Ufa. They were attended by 250 of the strongest athletes from 24 regions of the country, including seven children representing the Murmansk region – from Kovdor, Apatity, Olenegorsk and Murmansk. Over the course of three days, they competed at distances from 25 to 200 meters.

As the government press service writes, during the competition our swimmers set three Russian records and won a total of 40 medals. In addition, the Kola Polar Region won the 4×25 m freestyle relay swimming in the junior competition.

The medley relay and breaststroke relay brought several bronze medals to the region. It is clarified that in terms of total points, the Murmansk region took second place in the team competition.

Previously, the polar team won the All-Russian alpine skiing competition. “MK in Murmansk” wrote that they took place from March 4 to March 7 in Polyarnye Zori.
