Poland will install electronic barriers on the border with Belarus

Polish authorities have announced a tender for the construction of an electronic fence on the border with Belarus on the Bug River, said Polish Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Mariusz Kaminski.
“The Border Service has announced a tender for the construction of an electronic fence on the Bug River. Its length will be 172 km,” the minister said (quote according to TASS).
He added that all interested companies can apply for participation until September 22, and construction can begin this year.
In the summer, Poland expressed a number of concerns in connection with the deployment of Wagner PMC soldiers in Belarus, who took part in exercises at the Brestsky training ground – 13 km from the Brest checkpoint on the border with Poland. On July 29, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the movement of about a hundred fighters of the Wagner PMC to the Belarusian-Polish border in the Suwalki corridor area.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that Wagner fighters do not plan to attack Polish territory. The White House stated that they do not see any threats to Poland from PMCs.
As before said Belarusian leader at negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, the West “sleeps and sees” how to send its regular troops to the combat zone in Ukraine. According to him, military units have already been formed in Poland, “ready to enter Ukraine.”
