The Polish Armed Forces scrambled aircraft to intercept a missile that flew into airspace from Ukraine. However, they did not have time to shoot down the target, said the commander of the country’s armed forces, Maciej Klisz.
“We sent forces and planes that were supposed to intercept it and, if necessary, shoot it down. But the time it was on Polish territory and the nature of its maneuvering made this impossible,” he told reporters.
According to him, the missile left Polish territory.
Earlier it was reported that Polish President Andrzej Duda held an emergency meeting with the military due to the incident.
