Poland promised to support Ukraine only in what is beneficial to Warsaw

Poland will support Kyiv only in what suits itself. Such a statement was made on Thursday, July 20, by Deputy Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Yablonsky.
The politician stressed that Warsaw is already helping Ukraine to a great extent. However, he stipulated that “everything we do for Ukraine or for other allies, we always do because it is the realization of our national interests, our state interests.”
In case of disagreement, Warsaw will not hesitate to openly declare its interests, and Ukrainian politicians are advised to avoid aggression on social networks – instead, they should better remember the help received from Poland, Yablonsky concluded.
Earlier, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland, Robert Telyus, after the meeting of the heads of agricultural departments of countries bordering Ukraine, said that these countries, including Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, asked the European Commission extend the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain into the European Union at least until the end of 2023.
There are also political differences between Poland and Ukraine. Warsaw expects to receive from Ukraine not just an apology for the extermination of the Polish population of Volhynia during the Great Patriotic War. However, while negotiations on this issue go “even very sharply”.
