Poland is going to transfer 10,000 troops to the border with Belarus

The Polish authorities intend to send 10,000 troops to the border with Belarus, declared Head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak in the program “Signals of the Day” of the Polish Radio.
“We are moving the army closer to the border with Belarus. There will be 10,000 soldiers on the border: 4,000 will directly support the border service, 6,000 will be in reserve,” said Mariusz Blaszczak.
August 9 reportedthat Poland will send an additional 2,000 troops to the border with Belarus instead of the 1,000 previously announced.
On the evening of August 1 at the Ministry of National Defense of Poland declaredthat two Belarusian helicopters violated the country’s airspace during exercises near the village of Belovezha. The Belarusian Defense Ministry said that the accusations of violating the border of Poland by the Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces are far-fetched and were made by the Polish military-political leadership to justify the build-up of forces and means near the Belarusian border.
August 5 Warsaw accused fighters of PMC “Wagner” in an attempt to penetrate the territory of Poland. Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Yablonsky also added that Poland is sending more troops to the border and is considering any steps that will be necessary to protect the territory, including the complete closure of the border.
