Poland is going to deploy American Apache helicopters and Abrams tanks in the east of the country. This was announced by the Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak during a visit to the training ground in Nowa Dembe, where the Polish-American-British military exercises are taking place.
“The answer to the threats is the strengthening of the Polish army, the building of the Polish army. We do this by increasing the number of the Polish army and creating new units, equipping the Polish army with modern weapons,” Balaschak said.
He added that soldiers of the 18th mechanized division, the Iron Division, which has existed for four years to ensure security in the east of the country, are training at the Nova Dembe training ground.
Blaszczak stressed that this particular division would be equipped with Apache helicopters and Abrams tanks.
