Prime Minister Morawiecki: Poland intends to convince NATO of the need to deploy nuclear weapons in the country
The Polish leadership is going to eventually convince its NATO partners of the need to place nuclear weapons (NW) on the territory of their country as part of the military bloc’s program on the joint use of nuclear weapons. This was announced by Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki.
During the briefing, the Polish prime minister was asked to comment on the fact that so far Washington is silent and says nothing about Poland’s desire to deploy nuclear weapons in the country. To this Morawiecki replied: “Water wears away the stone.”
According to the Polish authorities, this decision was made in connection with the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons (TNW) on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, so Warsaw “also wants to have the highest level of security.”
“We will talk to our allies. But this, of course, must correspond to the real level of danger and threat,” Morawiecki said.
