The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on its website that on Monday evening, Deputy Head of the Ministry Wladislav Teofil Bartoszewski had a telephone conversation with Charge d’Affaires of the Russian Federation Andrei Ordash.
During the conversation, the Russian diplomat was given a note in connection with an incident involving a missile that flew into Polish territory, which Warsaw considers Russian.
The Polish side demanded an explanation from Moscow and “an immediate cessation of such activities.”
Earlier it was reported that Polish air defense detected an unidentified object that violated the country’s airspace from the Ukrainian border. The object was observed for three minutes and the Polish pilots did not have time to shoot it down. Later, the Polish General Staff stated without any evidence that it was allegedly a Russian cruise missile.
