Poland closes border crossing with Belarus

The Polish authorities announced the closure of the border crossing with Belarus in Bobrovniki, informed on his Twitter, the country’s Minister of the Interior, Mariusz Kaminski.
“In view of the important interests of national security, I have decided to suspend until further notice <...> movement at the Polish-Belarusian border crossing in Bobrovniki,” the statement said.
The minister also instructed to prepare a list of citizens of Belarus “connected with the Lukashenka regime”, against whom it is planned to impose sanctions for “repressions against the Poles”.
On October 10, 2022, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the threats coming from Western countries against Belarus, after which he instructed to place part of the Russian troops on the territory of the country as part of an agreement on the deployment of a joint regional group of troops with the Russian Federation. On October 31, the president of the republic signed a decree on the creation of joint combat training centers with Russia for the military of the two countries.
In January, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced that a new division of troops would be created in the country in the east of the republic. Then the minister said that the division would include four brigades of four battalions each, as well as Korean K2 tanks and American Abrams purchased by Poland.
