Poland began to build an electronic fence on the border with Russia

On Tuesday, April 18, Poland began building an electronic barrier on the Polish-Russian border near the border posts in Bezledy and Sempopol. These are checkpoints on the border with the Russian Kaliningrad region.
According to website of the Polish Border Guard, the work will last until September 30 and will cover the entire land border with the Russian Federation with a length of 199 km. It is planned to install about 2,000 camera supports, 3,000 video cameras and lay 700 km of power cables.
The contract for the execution of works was signed in the amount of more than 373 million zlotys (more than 88 million dollars).
