Poet Nikolai Dobronravov, Pakhmutova’s husband, died at 94

One of the most famous Russian songwriters, Nikolai Dobronravov, died in Moscow at the age of 95. Express Newspaper reported this with reference to actor Stanislav Sadalsky.
Dobronravov was born in 1928 in Leningrad into the family of an engineer and a housewife. In 1937, the parents were repressed, the father died, the mother spent several years in the camps, but was able to return to her son. Nikolai Nikolaevich graduated from the School-Studio named after V.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko at the Moscow Art Theater, managed to star in two films, but then switched to writing songs.
In the early 50s, Dobronravov met composer Alexandra Pakhmutova, and in 1956 they got married. In co-authorship, the couple created a huge number of Soviet hits, including “Belovezhskaya Pushcha”, “Our Youth Team”, “The main thing, guys, is not to grow old with your heart”, “A coward does not play hockey”, “Eaglets learn to fly”, the farewell song of the Olympics -1980 “Goodbye, Moscow.”
The last time the author appeared on television was in 2020. Vesta and his wife took part in the program “White Studio” aired on the Kultura TV channel.
