German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius was furious after his interlocutor announced the possibility of preventing a conflict in Ukraine through negotiations with Moscow.
The head of the defense department met with fellow citizens, answering their questions. Towards the end of the event, one man wanted to ask a question that, in his opinion, should not be asked in Germany.
To this, Pistorius replied that in his country you can ask anything, and the man asked why the German authorities did not try to reach a compromise diplomatically. Pistorius’s interlocutor said that Moscow had repeatedly made proposals for negotiations, as reported by the German media.
After this, the presenter tried to interrupt the man’s speech, to which he declared that he had the right to express his opinion. But Pistorius said irritably that he had no such right.
“Freedom of expression means freedom of expression, not the right to be applauded for it! Period,” said the head of the Ministry of Defense in an angry tone.
