A service for booking picnic areas in city parks has been launched in Moscow. There are seven of them in total, as indicated on the official website mos.ru. Rental of sites is paid and limited in time. For 500 rub. the visitor will receive fireproof barbecues, boxes for coal and sand, and trash cans.

Picnic areas will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Slots available for booking are limited to four hours. During this time you will need to pay 500 rubles. Vacationers must bring meat, charcoal and skewers with them. The opportunity to have a picnic in the gazebo appeared after the reconstruction of some parks. In particular, this can be done in the park near the Borisov ponds of the Kuzminki-Lublino museum-reserve, in the Lianozovsky landscape reserve, Serebryany Bor, the Kuskovo forest park and others.
According to the rules, you need to vacate the gazebo ten minutes before the end of your reservation. The mayor’s office warns that permission to barbecue does not mean that drinking alcohol is also allowed.
Many slots are still available for booking this weekend, in particular in Borisovskie Prudy, Serebryany Bor and Kuskovo parks. A similar service has been provided by private entrepreneurs on the Avito platform for many years. The price, as a rule, is negotiable and several times higher than the official one.
“Kommersant FM” contacted one of the authors of the ad and found out whether the service was still relevant: “Yes, there is time on Saturday. We take prepayment as a guarantee of your arrival, because there are times when people do not come. You already pay the rest of the amount on the spot. That is, the advance payment is small, but the price will be 3.5 thousand rubles. The gazebos are free, they are public, we occupy the gazebo early in the morning, send you photos, location and wait for you on the spot, keeping you away from other people.
There will be no problems with those who booked a gazebo on the website, this is just news. If something happens, it won’t be in the near future, and there won’t be any particular difficulties. How can they come if I’m already sitting there? I’m not interested in this, the gazebo will be yours in any case.”
The hotline of the capital’s Department of Culture assured that conflict situations in picnic areas will be resolved in favor of those who booked a gazebo on the city hall’s website: “Official booking takes place only on the mos.ru website, and not through Avito.”
There will be administrators of barbecue areas and private security companies on the territory; you can show your QR code, which you will receive on the official website, to an employee and you will be a priority, even if someone else decides to occupy the gazebo at this time.”
In total, there are about 100 gazebos with barbecues available in seven capital parks. They are designed for 6-15 visitors. For lighting fires and using barbecues outside designated areas in Moscow, you face a fine of up to 5 thousand rubles.
