The leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus, warned that snow could fall in the south of the European part of Russia in the second half of next week.
According to him, the cold snap, which will come to the central part of Russia on Sunday evening, will reach the south of the country by Tuesday.
But this will not cause precipitation, except for the mountainous regions of the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories and the republics of the North Caucasus, where snow is already lying.
On Thursday, the south of the European part of Russia is waiting for a new cyclone. It, according to Leus, will be relatively warm and will bring heavy rains.
But it is possible that on Friday it will be followed by “colder air masses, this time causing snow” to the Crimean Peninsula and the Kuban.
Forecasters believe that on Friday, November 18, a small snow cover will appear in the north of the Volgograd region, in the mountainous regions of the Crimea and the steppe regions of the Krasnodar Territory. And on Saturday – in the territory of Stavropol and Kalmykia. On Sunday, light snow will pass in the Astrakhan region, and in the mountainous regions of the North Caucasus, it will already appear in the valleys.
Earlier, the leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, Alina Kotilevskaya, warned Muscovites about the appearance of snow at the beginning of next week.
