Pharmaceutical companies in the Russian Federation have increased the demand for personnel, follows from a report prepared by the recruiting company Get Experts. Their conclusions are partly confirmed by the statistics of recruiting companies hh.ru and Ventra. According to the report, a stable demand for employees has formed in the pharmaceutical and retail markets, mainly due to the need to replace departed workers. In the future, however, companies, especially those of Russian origin, will also open new rates, the authors of the report note. “Now we are seeing deferred demand, especially from companies that have been in limbo for a long time, not knowing how their activities in the Russian market will continue,” they note. At the same time, sales teams are strengthening both domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies: for the former, this is due to business expansion, for the latter, with the redistribution of marketing budgets.

According to hh.ru statistics, at the beginning of June, 57.5 thousand vacancies for specialists in medicine and pharmacology were opened in the Russian Federation, which is 17% higher than a year earlier. As Natalya Kurantova, head of Life Science at Ventra, notes, recruiters do record an increase in demand for employees from pharmaceutical companies, but Russian or foreign companies with local factories for the production of drugs in the Russian Federation are mostly active in seeking jobs. “Many foreign manufacturers still have their marketing budgets frozen and new clinical trials suspended. At the same time, those companies that managed to localize the production of medicines or dietary supplements in the Russian Federation can now increase their activity in the market and are looking for specialists,” she notes.

At the same time, as follows from the Get Experts report, it is not easy to fill the opening vacancies. Already employed candidates are often not ready to change jobs, and those who are actively looking for a new position are often only interested in remote work, which companies try to avoid. The conclusion about low competition for jobs in the industry is also confirmed by the hh.ru data – against the backdrop of an increase in the number of vacancies, the number of resumes for doctors and pharmacists remained stable (about 112 thousand), as a result, there are less than two resumes for each vacancy (a year ago – 2, 3).
