The Swede won this mythical 100 km race with 6100 meters of elevation gain.
What a race from Petter Engdahl! The Swedish trail runner went below the mythical bar of ten hours of racing on the CCC (100 km with 6100 meters of elevation gain). The forecast announced the winner around eleven o’clock but Petter Engdahl led a frantic pace throughout the race, without ever exploding. He reached Chamonix in 9h53’02” and exceeded ten kilometers per hour of average speed (10.01). He broke the previous record for the event by more than an hour! Last year, Frenchman Thibaut Garrivier won this CCC in 10:23:26.
Incredible achievement by the Swede who won this race just a few minutes after the start of the UTMB (170 km and more than 10,000 meters of elevation gain).
