Petrov and FTAR Secretary General discussed holding weightlifting competitions in Chuvashia

The Minister of Sports of Chuvashia Vasily Petrov held a working meeting in Cheboksary with the Secretary General of the Russian Weightlifting Federation (FTAR) Dmitry Vasilenko.
One of the topics is the prospect of holding major all-Russian competitions in the republic in 2025. They may be timed to coincide with the 140th anniversary of FTAR, which the organization celebrates next year.
Petrov emphasized that weightlifting is one of the priority sports in Chuvashia, and local weightlifters “are worthy competition to their colleagues from other regions.”
