A 25-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, Alexander, along with obtaining a foreign passport, received a summons for mobilization, Fontanka reports.
As the Petersburger himself said, he did not study at the military department, did not do military service, and the military specialty “driver” was recorded in his military ID in accordance with the entries in the diploma and in connection with the presence of a driver’s license. According to him, the military ID was issued to him in connection with the unfitness for health reasons. The military ticket indicates the driver’s category B, the second category.
Alexander said that he had received a summons and a notice from a “man in civilian clothes”, according to which he was supposed to appear at the military registration and enlistment office the next day “to clarify military registration documents on mobilization issues.” As clarified in the local administration, employees of the military enlistment office have the right to be in the FMS units and hand over subpoenas.
Since the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, reports and complaints about the mistakes of the competent authorities have repeatedly appeared. On this occasion, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that “there is enough stupidity” and instructed to correct mistakes, mistakenly mobilized to return home, and analyze each case separately.
