Petersburg police detained false plumbers who swindled money from pensioners

In St. Petersburg, they managed to detain intruders who worked under the guise of city technical services and fraudulently lured over 3.5 million rubles from the elderly, including the blockade. This is reported in press service regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As noted, representatives of an organized group were identified and detained, whose members deceived elderly citizens. The organizer of the gang of false plumbers turned out to be a 29-year-old resident of the Krasnoselsky district, previously convicted of fraud, clarifies the GUMVD.
According to law enforcement officers, a 51-year-old woman was detained with her, who was calling pensioners, a 40-year-old citizen of a neighboring state and two residents of the Krasnoselsky district, aged 36 and 46, who worked as “plumbers” and “repairmen”, and also took away money from elderly people under type of managers. The department added that in the case initiated under the article “Fraud”, there are now five victims. The perpetrators were arrested.
