Petersburg extended the ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and jet skis in the waters of the Neva, which has been in force since May, until September 30, reported press office city administration today, 24 July.

Jet skis are prohibited from moving on sections of the Neva and branches from the Blagoveshchensky to the Bolshoy Obukhovsky (cable-stayed) bridges, from the Betancourt bridge to the Neva, from the Ushakovsky bridge to the Neva, from the Bolshoy Petrovsky bridge to the Bolshaya Nevka, as well as throughout the Kronverk Strait, the Griboyedov Canal, the Moika and Fontanka rivers, the Kryukov Canal and the Winter Canal.
For the first time, the Petersburg authorities completely banned the use of UAVs on the territory of St. Petersburg on May 7. Then the measures taken were explained by the protection of order and security during city events dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. After the celebrations extended until the end of July.
