The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting at a press call on the bill on online subpoenas and closing borders for those liable for military service, said that the second wave of mobilization is not taking place in the country.
“There is no second wave,” the Kremlin spokesman said. In response, the journalists recalled Mr. Peskov’s March statements that the Kremlin was not discussing the possibility of a second wave of mobilization and asked if there were any changes. “No, it still wasn’t and isn’t,” he replied.
Then the journalists asked the press secretary of the head of state how the agendas would arrive if the second wave of mobilization was announced. “As for the agendas, now only work is underway on the bill, it is ongoing,” said Mr. Peskov.
He explainedthat the bill under consideration should not cause panic among the population or lead to a new wave of emigration, since the document is only intended to streamline the conscription of those liable for military service.
April 11 State Duma deputies will consider in the second reading, the bill, which provides for the delivery of subpoenas through the State Services, prohibits travel abroad if a subpoena is received, and introduces bans for dodgers, including registration of rights to real estate.
