Peskov: the West understands that part of their aid is being stolen in Ukraine

Western countries understand that part of the funds allocated to Kyiv is being stolen, said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. So, he commented journalist Pavel Zarubin recently discussed discussions in the West, where politicians and the media were “unexpectedly” surprised by the extent of corruption in Ukraine.

According to the Kremlin representative, the United States and Europe understand that “a certain part of the money they give to Ukraine is, simply put, stolen.” Such confessions, as Peskov noted, “are also heard in Congress during debates and in committees.”

“And of course, they need to somehow explain to their voters why there is no proper mechanism for spending funds, why they turn a blind eye to this, why they raise the question of allocating new amounts. And that’s why such materials appear. What else should they do,” he said.

Previously, it was beneficial for the West not to notice corruption in this country, the press secretary of the head of state noted. He added that in the United States and Europe there is growing fatigue with the “Ukrainian topic as such,” with the Kyiv regime and its “financial feeding and supply of weapons.” “Even the United States cannot do this indefinitely,” Peskov explained.

The Kremlin representative also toldthat relations between Russia and the United States are at zero, but over time the dialogue will have to be resumed.
