Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that Russia was, is and will be open to negotiations on Ukraine. The press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov recalled this.
The Kremlin speaker emphasized that the Russian side is determined to achieve its goals and would prefer to complete their achievement through diplomatic means.
However, otherwise the military operation will continue until we achieve our goals, Peskov warned.
Earlier, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE, Alexander Lukashevich, recalled that Moscow has always advocated political and diplomatic settlement of the situation with Kyiv, which would be based not on ultimatums from Western countries, but on eliminating the causes of the conflict. According to the diplomat, the dialogue should be aimed at ensuring that Ukraine and its inhabitants cease to be used as a weapon of NATO countries against Russia.
Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik said that if Kyiv loses, representatives of many European countries will go to negotiations in Moscow to discuss security issues with Russia, since if Ukraine loses “The North Atlantic Alliance will crumble”.
