Peskov: The Kremlin did not hear from the West the condemnation of the drone attack on Moscow

Russia would like to hear from Western countries some condemnation of the May 30 drone attack on Moscow, but this did not happen, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Former Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova statedthat the countries of the West are demonstrating a “vile stance” on the attack of Ukrainian drones on Moscow. “They see and comment only on what is beneficial to them. This is propaganda,” she said.

May 30, answering journalists’ questions about the drone attack on Moscow, at the White House declaredthat “they are still collecting information about what happened.” They added that they do not support attacks inside Russia. British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley evaded a direct answer to the question of Kyiv’s involvement in the incident, pointing to Ukraine’s right to defend itself and “project force beyond its borders.”

The UN, in turn, condemned “any attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure.” At the same time, they noted that “massive attacks” on Ukrainian cities “do not compare” with the attack on Moscow.

On the morning of May 30, drones hit residential buildings in the capital on the street. Atlasov in New Moscow, on the street. Profsoyuznaya and on Leninsky Prospekt. Incidents were also recorded in the Moscow region – 500 meters from the Ilyinsky highway in Krasnogorsk and in the Odintsovo urban district.

According to the Ministry of Defense, eight Ukrainian drones were involved in the attack, five of which were shot down, three more were suppressed by electronic warfare and deviated from the targets. Upon the incident, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on terrorism under Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
