The Kremlin has not announced a date for a direct line with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but it could take place before the end of the year. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“No, not yet. We expect that by the end of the year there will be a certain format,” Peskov said (quote according to TASS).
Last year there was no direct line and no big press conference with the participation of the president. In early August, Peskov reported that the event could be combined with a large press conference, but there has not yet been an exact decision on this issue.
Summer “Kommersant” wrotethat a direct line with the President of Russia this year could take place in November-December. A source in the presidential administration told the newspaper that the event was planned to be held in the summer, but it did not take place.
A direct line can be drawn before the announcement of the presidential elections, which the Federation Council must call between December 8 and 17, the material clarified. Presidential elections are legally scheduled to take place on March 17, 2024.
