Peskov: Russia will advocate until the last moment for solving the problems of Transnistria

The Russian side will advocate until the last moment for solving the problems of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic through dialogue. This statement was made on Wednesday, March 6, by Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov, speaking at a lecture as part of the educational marathon “Knowledge. The first ones.”

He noted that local residents are in very difficult conditions and they need help in many ways.

“Russia is open to this help, but we prefer to resolve any problems through political dialogue until the last minute,” said the press secretary of the Russian president.

The Kremlin official also added that the Russian Federation has always advocated and continues to advocate for the resuscitation of relations with the Moldovan authorities. He noted that the leaders of some countries consider it necessary to emulate Europe, but at the same time “they must necessarily become an enemy of Russia.”

“This is a terrible mistake. We hope that in Chisinau they will understand how monstrous it is,” concluded Dmitry Peskov, adding that the Russian Federation wants “the spirit of Russophobia to leave the wonderful city and country.”

Earlier, a Kremlin official spoke about the conditions in which Russia can use nuclear weapons. According to him, in Russian military doctrine this is interpreted as a “farewell weapon” and its use is possible only if “something threatens our existence and the country.”
