Peskov said there were no decisions on the ban on the travel of officials abroad

There are currently no decisions to ban Russian officials from traveling abroad during a special operation, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia, said. transmit “RIA News”.

“There are no decisions, no directives in this regard at the present time,” the Kremlin spokesman replied to the question of whether it was planned to ban officials from traveling abroad. Peskov clarified that this topic is not being discussed in the presidential administration.

On February 1, it became known that the founder of Wagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin addressed to the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Vasily Piskarev with a request at the legislative level to prohibit Russian officials and deputies from traveling abroad on vacation during a special operation.

Formerly deputies of the State Duma obliged notify the leadership of the chamber and the commission for the control of the reliability of information on income from trips abroad. Corresponding amendments to the State Duma regulations were adopted at a meeting on January 24 at the suggestion of the chairman of the lower house, Vyacheslav Volodin.

Amendments were made to Art. 31 regulations of the State Duma. According to them, deputies, except for members of the Council of the Duma, chairmen of committees and commissions of the State Duma, are required to notify in writing the commission for monitoring the reliability of information about income about the planned trip abroad, except for business trips by order of the chairman of the State Duma. The rest are obliged to notify the speaker of the State Duma about the planned departure from Russia – this obligation is absent only if this business trip is organized by order of the chairman of the State Duma.
