Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that in wartime censorship and tough government actions are necessary.
“Now is a very tough, military time,” he said, “which requires tough measures from the authorities.”
According to Peskov, “in wartime there must be a certain censorship,” and also “certain rules” must be a “mandatory attribute,” even if they are unacceptable in peacetime.
At the same time, Peskov could not answer the question about the line between criticism and discrediting the army, TASS notes. He explained that the line is “very thin.” In this regard, Peskov advises “all those who, without understanding the essence of the matter, want to speculate so indiscriminately,” first “think 10 times.”
