Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia has decided on the status of its participation in the APEC summit, which will be held in the United States this year.
“The Russian delegation at the APEC summit will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk,” the Kremlin speaker said.
The APEC summit will take place in San Francisco on November 11-17, with the main event expected to be a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden.
The choice of Alexey Overchuk as the head of the Russian delegation, apparently, is explained by the functionality of the Deputy Prime Minister, who, among other things, is responsible for Russia’s participation in multilateral international organizations and associations.
