Commenting on Vladimir Putin’s meeting with Deputy Minister of Defense Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and former executive director of the Wagner Group Andrei Troshev, Dmitry Peskov recalled that Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that all participants in the military defense, whether they are career military personnel or volunteers, should equally enjoy social benefits.
This is precisely what, according to the Kremlin speaker, Putin drew attention to during the meeting with Yevkurov and Troshev. “(There are) a large number of volunteers. this work needs to be organized and synchronized with the Ministry of Defense. The conversation was conducted in this regard,” Peskov said.
In response to a request to clarify in what position or status Troshev entered the service in the Ministry of Defense, Peskov said: “He works there.”
The Kremlin speaker also said that since the meeting was purely working, “there are no ceremonial costumes here” – all participants were in civilian clothes, without regalia.
