Speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the plenary session SPIEF aroused great interest in the world, said his press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“It is clear that there is great interest in the world in the president’s speech at the forum, it is clear that they are analyzing what the president said, a lot of important things were said there, which, of course, are subject to in-depth analysis,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
According to Peskov, “the story of historical Ukrainian anti-Semitism touched a nerve.” At the plenary session, Putin read letters from several members of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN, banned and recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation) during World War II, in particular, one of the Banderaites, who spoke about the execution of a Jewish family. In addition, the president declaredthat he has “many Jewish friends” who say that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is “not a Jew – this is a shame for the Jewish people.”
Peskov also noted that information on the state of the Russian economy is being “deeply analyzed”. “We see that, of course, in most of the world, which is not reduced to the collective West, there is a huge interest in this event, and in the economic incarnation, and in the content, and in the political and diplomatic, and in the financial, and so on,” the spokesman said.
Earlier, Peskov in an interview with the Made in Russia studio of the Russian Export Center declaredthat Russia is open to foreign investors and businesses. According to him, the Russian Federation will provide comfortable conditions for the work of foreign companies, “if they comply with all the provisions of our legislation, if they are interested in continuing, in expanding their activities here.”
