Russian President Vladimir Putin will never stoop to personal insults against the leaders of other states, said his press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
During a conversation with reporters, he was asked to comment on the statement of US President Joe Biden, who called Putin a “dictator.”
“You know that our president never stoops to this level, to the level of personal insults against his colleagues. He, of course, has a personal opinion about this style of statements and statements, but the president, I repeat once again, has never stooped to this and will not do so,” Peskov said.
Biden, the Kremlin spokesman added, has never in his political career gained the same level of support as Putin, while next year the American president faces “very, very difficult” elections.
“We understand that in the United States they are now actively clearing the electoral platform of unwanted competitors, but we have our own concerns, which we will deal with,” Peskov concluded.
