Peskov: Putin does not plan to address the Russians today

An address by President Vladimir Putin in honor of the anniversary of the entry of troops into Ukraine today, February 24, is not planned. This was stated by his press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
When asked if there would be any presidential address today, Mr. Peskov answered in the negative. “No,” he told RIA Novosti.
A year ago, February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin announced about the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine. He claimed that it was carried out for the “demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.” During the announcement of the message to the Federal Assembly on February 21, Mr Putin saidthat Russia was doing everything possible to solve the problem by peaceful means. He promised that the Russian military “step by step, accurately and consistently will solve the tasks ahead.”
