Peskov: Kadyrov’s resignation has not yet materialized

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin saw the statements of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, about a possible resignation. According to him, for the time being, the Kremlin proceeds from the fact that Mr. Kadyrov remains in his post.
“Indeed, we saw these messages, but, let’s just say, so far, if I understand correctly, these messages have not materialized in any way. So far, we proceed from the fact that he continues to lead the Chechen Republic, ”Dmitry Peskov told reporters (quoted from TASS).
September 3 Ramzan Kadyrov wrote down video message in which he stated that his “time has come before they kicked him out.” He added that he “well deserved an indefinite and long vacation.” Mr. Kadyrov made similar statements in November 2017 and February 2016. Ramzan Kadyrov has been head of Chechnya for 15 years.
