Foreigners living in the territory of Donbass can obtain Russian citizenship. This was announced by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
Asked if the Kremlin is ready to consider whether foreigners in the Donbas would like to acquire Russian citizenship, Peskov replied: “Absolutely.”
“The President said that he would be ready to help both Christel and other foreigners who live in new regions of Russia and who for a very long time, from the very beginning of the war in 2014, told the truth about what was happening there. And this, of course, applies to those who want to apply for Russian citizenship, and those who, most importantly, want to continue their professional activities there,” Peskov said.
