Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov spoke about the Su-35 fighter jets that accompanied Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Middle East. According to him, it was a demonstration of technology.
“Demonstration of such equipment, which is known and loved in this region, demonstration in action is also probably an important component,” Peskov noted in an interview with Pavel Zarubin.
He also reported that the Middle East is a “turbulent region”, and therefore fighter jets were also required. However, Peskov stressed that the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where Putin flew, are stable and safe countries.
