Peskov: Europe will have to answer to the people for the military support of Ukraine

The authorities of the European countries will have to answer to their peoples for the fact that they got “up to their necks” in the conflict in Ukraine. About it declared Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“European states and those who are already actively involved in this conflict up to their ears will have to think and will have to answer to their peoples why they are doing this,” he said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin. According to the press secretary, the authorities of European countries will not be able to avoid negative consequences.

Earlier, the official representative of the German government, Steffen Hebestreit, said that the FRG considers the strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against objects in Russia with Ukrainian-made weapons to be legitimate. He clarified that he “given an assessment not of the actual attack” of drones on Moscow on May 30, but an assessment “from the point of view of international law.”

Peskov pointed outthat Russia would like to hear from Western countries some kind of condemnation of the attempted drone attack on Moscow, but this did not happen. He stressed that Moscow would “calmly and consistently” analyze how to respond to this attack.

The drone attack on Moscow and the region took place on the morning of May 30. Then the UAVs hit residential buildings in the capital on the street. Atlasov in New Moscow, on the street. Profsoyuznaya and on Leninsky Prospekt. Incidents were also recorded in the Moscow region – 500 meters from the Ilyinsky highway in Krasnogorsk and in the Odintsovo urban district.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that eight Ukrainian drones were involved in the attack, five of which were shot down, three more were suppressed by electronic warfare and deviated from the targets. Upon the incident, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on terrorism under Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
