Peskov “disappeared” after NYT interview: silent for the third week

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov has not held briefings or commented for the media since the beginning of August, a number of publications and telegram channels have noticed.
According to open data, the last briefing by a Kremlin spokesman was on August 4, and two days later his interview with The New York Times was published, which cited Peskov’s controversial statement about the elections as “not real democracy” and “expensive bureaucracy.” In the same place, he stated that next year Vladimir Putin would be re-elected with more than 90% of the vote.
