Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the president’s direct line could be combined with his big press conference, but a decision on this has not yet been made. He stressed that there is experience of joint holding of these two events.
“If you remember, we did this. And well, by the way, it turned out. Maybe we can combine. Well, that is, the final decision has not yet been made,” said Mr. Peskov, adding that the direct line will definitely not be held in August of this year.
Elements of the president’s direct line were included in the big press conference of the head of state in 2020. The Direct Line with Vladimir Putin event has been held annually since 2001. Last broadcast of the program took place June 30, 2021.
