Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment on information about the stolen Russian helicopter to Ukraine.
“This is still the prerogative of the Ministry of Defense, because without knowing the details, it would be wrong to comment on anything,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
The alleged hijacking of the Mi-8 helicopter was reported to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. It was clarified that he was transferred on August 9 to the Kharkov region from the airfield in Kursk. Along with Russian pilot Maxim Kuzminov were two crew members who, according to Ukrainian intelligence, were killed due to resistance.
The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented on the information about the hijacking.
