Contacts between the leadership of Russia and North Korea have become not a sensation, but a tradition. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

Naturally, we are interested in building and developing relations with our closest neighbors, and doing this in all areas,” he said, answering the question of whether it can be said that contacts between leaders are not a sensation, but already a tradition.
On September 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met at the Vostochny cosmodrome. First, the leaders held talks in an expanded format, and then continued the meeting in a tete-a-tete format. As Putin previously said, Kim Jong-un is also planning a trip to Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Vladivostok.
September 15, North Korean leader visited Russian aviation factories in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where he assessed the demonstration flight of the Russian Su-35 fighter. In particular, he visited the Gagarin aircraft plant and the production center UAC “Yakovlev.” In Vladivostok, according to Putin, Kim Jong-un will be shown the capabilities of the Pacific Fleet.
The DPRK leader arrived in Russia on September 12 at the invitation of the Russian president. During a one-on-one conversation, Kim Jong-un invited Putin to visit the DPRK, Russian President accepted this is an invitation. According to Peskov, coordination of the visit will continue through diplomatic channels. He clarified that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Pyongyang in October.
