Full information about the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the CSTO summit in Minsk on November 23 will be made public later; contacts between the head of state and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko are being prepared. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters about this.

“Still, we give announcements of international contacts at a certain time. So be a little patient here. Indeed, such contacts are being prepared,” he said.

On November 1, Putin and Lukashenko discussed by telephone issues of preparation for the meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will be held on November 23 in Minsk. The leaders of the two countries also discussed the current topic of “developing bilateral interaction and promoting union integration, including energy, transport and high technology.”

The previous time Putin and Lukashenko met was on September 15 in Sochi. Then they discussed the situation in Ukraine, relations with the DPRK, as well as economic cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, industry and work in the field of import substitution.
