The purpose of the sabotage of the Ukrainian DRG, which penetrated the territory of the Belgorod region, is an attempt by the neighboring country to reduce the effect of the loss of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). This was announced on Monday by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“We are well aware of the purpose of such sabotage – to divert attention from the Bakhmut direction, to minimize the political effect of the loss of Artemovsk by the Ukrainian side,” said the press secretary of the Russian president.
He also stressed that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as well as the FSB and the Border Service reported Vladimir Putin about the penetration of Ukrainian DRGs into the territory of the Belgorod region.
Peskov stated that work was underway to squeeze them out of the territory of the Russian Federation and destroy them.
The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, previously reported on the infiltration of Ukrainian DRGs, saying that all services are working to eliminate them. After a while, he said that during the activities of saboteurs, due to the actions of mortars, a man and a woman received shrapnel wounds.
