The Kremlin drew attention to the new teenage subculture PMC Ryodan, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. According to him, “it is necessary to respond to this” and “it is important to stop illegal actions.”
“Of course, rather, it is, let’s say, a pseudo-subculture that comes with a “minus” sign, and which does not bring anything good to our youth,” the Kremlin spokesman said during a press call.
“PMC Ryodan” is a current of the anime subculture dead inside (dead inside). “Ryodan” is a reference to the Japanese comics Hunter x Hunter, which mention the criminal organization “Genei Ryodan”, known as the “Phantom Troupe” or “Spider”. The abbreviation PMC (private military company), as one of the representatives of the movement explained to the Mel publication, was added to the name “for fun”.
