Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that military meetings in Sochi, which Vladimir Putin traditionally holds in May, are being shifted in the schedule of the head of state. According to Mr. Peskov, this is due to the “busy schedule” of the president.
“The Sochi meetings are in demand, they will continue, especially since as the special military operation develops, certain experience is gained that needs to be discussed … Now the schedule is very, very busy, so these meetings are shifting to the right,” said Dmitry Peskov (quoted from TASS). He said that the meetings will still take place, but did not specify when exactly.
In 2021 Vladimir Putin discussed in Sochi with representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the military-industrial complex, the international situation, issues of rearmament. The President spoke about the need to improve Russia’s strategic nuclear forces. The last time the head of state met with representatives of the Ministry of Defense was on September 6 at the Vostok-2022 exercises.
