Peruvian Interior Ministry sends special forces to border with Ecuador amid unrest

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Peru reports on the social network X that the department sent special police forces to the border with Ecuador against the backdrop of armed unrest that has engulfed this country.

“Interior Minister Victor Torres Falcon has ordered the immediate deployment of a contingent from the National Police Special Operations Directorate to strengthen security measures at the border,” the statement said.

Earlier it was reported that in Ecuador, armed bandits stage armed attacks and take hostages.
